Intro to Acting/Theatre:
Students will learn the basic skills necessary to produce a modern play for public performance. Skills in acting, staging, lighting, costuming, make-up, and production will be explored.
Fundamentals of Screen writing:
Various writing styles are studied and explored in the genres of sitcom, drama, documentary, feature screenplays, and more. The instructor guides the class through the process of turning an idea into final written form, along with methods of choosing story material.
Intro to Computer Functions:
Basic computer instruction is provided in everything from terminology, powering up, Windows operations, hardware identification, and the Internet to networking, word processing, printing, and Mac vs Windows differences.
Ceramics:
An exploration to the use of clay as a sculptural basis with an emphasis on the therapeutic properties of working with the material. Form and design skills are taught in a fun and creative environment.
Intro to Video Production:
Students will learn the basic makeup of a production crew, how to tell a story visually, and the process by which an idea and script is put to video. Through live shoots and our in-house editing suites, students will create several video productions.
3-D Art & Wood shop:
This class teaches students the basics about working with wood to create three-dimensional art. Concepts covered include spatial relationships, designing for depth, symmetry, safety with tools, and much more.
Printmaking & Silk screening:
This class covers printmaking and water-based inks, process colors and layered imagery, rubberstamp's and screens.
Contemporary Painting:
Various techniques of painting, elements of color, composition, and subject matter are all covered in this class.
